What's Your Take? Parkland Mall Redevelopment Now Moving Ahead
Tenants are moving in next spring after the controverisal project was recently passed by village officials.

MUSKEGO - The question of what to do with the old Parkland Mall site was put to rest recently, when village officials voted - time and time again - to get the massive project passed
According to a report in Muskego NOW, the Plan Commission approved changes in the plan after their sixth vote. Here's their report:
Last week, the day before the common council voted on the rezoning, the Muskego Plan Commission approved changes in the apartment section of the proposal that won the critical, sixth, yes vote. Fourth District Alderman Thomas Kapusta had announced that he would vote against the rezoning because constituents were very much against the plan. However, the changes that came up from the plan commission answered those concerns and he voted for the rezoning, Kapusta said after the council meeting.
Construction of the first four-story, 90-unit apartment building is expected to start this summer. The plan's two other apartment buildings have to wait until construction begins on the retail section of the plan.
