Why Churches Love JOJ

Why would a church get involved in Jammin’ on Janesville?  At first glance, it doesn’t seem like a clear fit.  There’s no products to sell and no special offers to extend as a church.  How would a church actually be involve meaningfully in JOJ?

Beneath the surface, Jammin’ on Janesville is actually an amazing opportunity for local churches. Jammin’ is an opportunity for churches to get out of their buildings and their Sunday morning schedules, and be a part of the everyday life of Muskego.  Jesus spent three years of his life being radically redemptive, and thirty years just engaging everyday life as a normal person.  It’s a good thing for churches to spend a lot of time being involved in the everyday circles of their city.

For Lakepoint Church, this event has become a favorite for us.  It’s a day in which we’re especially proud of our city.  It’s a day we enjoy the fun… and add to the fun.  The city of Muskego should become a better place with every church that is added, and an event such as this gives us special opportunity to rise to that occasion.

Churches such as ours are looking forward to joining the local business in making this year’s Jammin’ events a big hit for the local community.

As always, hat’s off to the Muskego Chamber of Commerce for the amazing foresight and initiative it takes to pull of this event.
