Woman Steals Coworker's Check Card and Takes it to Muskego Walmart

A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman is facing charges after she allegedly stole a coworker’s check card from a Muskego hardware store and then used it to buy stuff at the Muskego .

Jamie N. Plale was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of identity theft for financial gain. If convicted, she faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Sept. 13 Plale took the check card of a coworker at , W160S6471 Commerce Drive and then took it to Walmart where she bought $63 worth of items. The victim noticed the card missing and that someone used it, so she called police.

Police were able to get video of the transaction and the victim was able to identify Plale.

Plale told investigators she found the card outside of the hardware store before she used it.

She will make her initial appearance in court Nov. 2.
