• Rawhide's new program combines academics with mental health support (wbay.com) — A new K–5 alternative education program at Rawhide's Starr Academy in New London is blending regular classroom subjects with on-site mental and behavioral health support. With small class sizes, therapy options, and a sensory room, the program aims to help students build coping skills so they can eventually return successfully to their home schools.
   

• Literacy coaches help Northeast Wisconsin districts meet state standards (fox11online.com) — New London is one of several Northeast Wisconsin districts getting a new state-funded literacy coach to help K–3 students meet tougher reading standards under Wisconsin's Act 20. Coaches will work alongside teachers on phonics-based instruction, while officials urge parents to support reading at home to keep momentum going this school year.
