Basketball Players At Malone Park Threatened With Gun: Police
Police said a group of people playing basketball was threatened with a gun at Malone Park Tuesday and gunshots were heard Wednesday.
NEW BERLIN, WI β A group of people using the basketball courts at Malone Park were threatened with a gun Tuesday, and gunshots were heard from the park Wednesday, according to a New Berlin Police Department news release.
A group of people using the basketball court was approached by another group of young adults who started harassing and intimidating them, according to the news release. Police said when the people playing basketball refused to leave, someone from the other group pulled a gun.
In response, the New Berlin Police Department said it assigned more active patrols in Malone Park. During a patrol Wednesday around 10 p.m police officers heard gunshots from near the basketball court, the news release said.

At the time of the shots there were multiple people using the courts. The gunshots caused people to flee but nobody was injured, police said.
