Sports run deep in New Berlin, and Eisenhower Middle-High School has long been at the heart of it. It’s no surprise some standout talent once wore the Lions uniform. Today we're celebrating five unforgettable athletes from New Berlin Eisenhower who made a name for themselves well beyond the hometown field.


Mike Hart – Former MLB Outfielder and Eisenhower’s First Pro Athlete

Mike Hart, a three-sport athlete at New Berlin Eisenhower, became the school’s first professional athlete after being drafted by the Seattle Mariners. Following an all-state senior season, Hart made his Major League debut with the Minnesota Twins in 1984 and later played for the Baltimore Orioles. A member of Eisenhower’s Hall of Fame, Hart left a lasting legacy on the school’s athletic history. (Source: NewBerlinNation)


Sennet Siodlarz – Football and Track & Field Versatile Athlete

Sennet Siodlarz was a two-way player for Eisenhower’s football team, contributing as a wide receiver and outside linebacker. The 6'1" athlete also ran track for two seasons, competing in hurdles and high jump. Siodlarz’s athleticism and versatility made him a key part of the program throughout his high school career. Kylie Kwiatkowski – All-Conference Track Star and State Cross Country Runner

Kylie Kwiatkowski was a varsity athlete in track and cross country at New Berlin Eisenhower for her entire tenure. As a two-time first-team All-Conference honoree, she competed in events from the 400m to steeplechase and holds personal bests of 2:25 in the 800m and 6:02 in the steeplechase. Kwiatkowski also represented her school at the Wisconsin State Cross Country meet and trains with Milwaukee Speed Academy. (Source: NCSAsports.org)


Jack Gillis – All-Region Wrestler and Multi-Sport Athlete

A dominant presence on the mat, Jack Gillis earned first-team All-Conference, All-Area, and All-Region honors in wrestling for New Berlin Eisenhower in 2022. He posted a 43-5 senior record with 18 pins, 36 takedowns, and was named New Berlin’s Most Outstanding Wrestler. Gillis also competed in track and soccer during his high school career, earning varsity letters in multiple sports. (Source: NCSAsports.org)

Vidal Spivey – Standout High School Running Back

Vidal Spivey was voted High School on SI Wisconsin’s Top Returning Running Back for 2025 following a stellar junior season at New Berlin Eisenhower. The All-Parkland Conference first-team selection rushed for 1,021 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024, leading his team to a third-place conference finish and a WIAA Division 3 playoff berth. Spivey earned 45 percent of the vote in a statewide poll, highlighting his rising status as one of Wisconsin’s top high school football talents. (Source: SI.com)
