No Injuries In New Berlin Condo Fire Tuesday: Fire Dept.
A fire broke out at condos on 1600 Coachlight Drive in New Berlin Tuesday. The cause is unknown but nobody was injured, NB Fire Dept. said.

NEW BERLIN, WI β A fire broke out Tuesday evening inside a multi-family residential condominium structure on 1600 Coachlight Drive in New Berlin, but nobody was injured, according to a news release from the New Berlin Fire Department.
The New Berlin Police Department also responded to the 911 call reporting the smell of smoke and visible flames in one of the condo's bathrooms. The cause of the fire is undetermined, according to the fire department.
The City of Brookfield Engine 2163 was the first on scene and they did not immediately see the reported flames or smoke on arrival, the news release said.

Further investigation from New Berlin and Brookfield fire crews found light smoke coming from one of the condo's bathrooms and high heat coming from the floor. The news release said crews quickly realized the smoke was coming from another condo on the floor below.
Minimal amounts of water and extensive overhaul were used to extinguish the source of the smoke and heat. Ventilation fans were also used to clear smoke from the home, according to the news release.

To clear the fire the New Berlin Fire Department sent the shift commander, two fire engines, one ladder truck and one ambulance, each equipped with a crew of three. The City of Brookfield Fire Department responded to the fire with one engine and a crew of four.
