11th Ave Garage Fire A 'Total Loss': Report

Police reported that a resident was in the basement of his home when he heard a popping sound.

OAK CREEK, WI -- According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers responded to a home on the 8800 block of S. 11th Ave. just before 8 a.m. on June 1 on a report of a residential fire.

Police reported that a resident was in the basement of his home when he heard a popping sound. When he went upstairs he saw that his garage was on fire, and called authorities.

Call logs stated that fire investigators determined the fire started in the southwest corner of the two-car garage and that the garage, though an official cause had not been determined - and all of its contents were considered a total loss.

Police said that nobody was in the garage at the time of the fire and that nobody got hurt as a result of the fire.
