$12,000 In Rings, Gun Stolen In Springbrook Burglary: Report

According to police reports, a semiautomatic handgun and about 40 rings were also missing.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Oak Creek police responded to the Springbrook Apartments on the night of Sep. 4 on a report of a burglary.

According to police reports, an apartment resident was out working on his car when an unknown suspect went into the master bedroom by breaking through a window in order to steal a loaded Smith and Wesson .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun.

According to police reports, about 40 rings were also missing. A woman who lived at the apartment said one ring was appraised at $10,000 and that the total value was about $11,000 to $12,000. The gun was valued at $360.

According to reports, police saw the damaged window and smudge marks on the window outside.
