Delavan, WI—The City of Delavan will be celebrating its 14th Annual Scarecrow Fest on Saturday, September 13, 2014. This family-oriented event will showcase dressed and decorated scarecrows throughout historic downtown Delavan. Scarecrow Fest will also feature a flea market, sidewalk sales, pumpkin painting, children’s face painting, a pie and cake auction, live music and the Great Delavan Duck Raffle.
Festival residents, visitors and families can vote for their favorite scarecrow submitted by local businesses, organizations and families in the “Parade of Scarecrows,” which begins early September and ends in early October. Scarecrow Fest also invites anyone to create their own scarecrow to celebrate the upcoming fall season for a fee of $10.00.
Throughout Downtown Delavan and at the Phoenix Park Bandshell there will be live music featuring Cheryl Niemo & the Down Home Boys, Cedric Square, Ripple Effect and Pink Fraud for family and friends to enjoy.
