19-Year-Old Led Police On 14-Mile Chase: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested and faces charges after leading police on a 14-mile police chase through the metro Milwaukee area.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an officer on patrol just before 2 a.m. on July 19 saw the driver of a vehicle speeding in the 9900 block of S. 27th Street. Police said the driver attempted to pull into the Mobil gas station on S. 27th Street to avoid police.

Oak Creek police said the driver fled down W. Ryan Road and entered I-94. Police said the driver reached speeds of 110 miles per hour as she fled officers.

Police said the driver exited the interstate at North Ave. and crashed in front of a property in the 600 block of W. Burleigh Ave.

Police said the suspect was arrested at the scene. Police say she was arrested and cited for operating a vehicle without insurance, having false vehicle registration plates and for operating without a license.
