MILWAUKEE, WI — Sheriff's officials in Milwaukee County say an area driver is out more than $650 after a deputy caught the driver going 99 miles per hour on I-94 in Oak Creek.
According to sheriff's reports, a sheriff’s deputy working the speed saturation patrol on the morning of Aug. 30, stopped a driver going 99 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour speed zone on I-94 in the southbound lanes in Oak Creek.
According to sheriff's reports, when asked why he was going at such a high rate of speed, the man told the deputy who conducted the traffic stop that he was running late to get to a soccer game.

Sheriff Richard Schmidt said in a prepared statement, “this driver’s selfish and reckless behavior put other motorists on the freeway at risk, when he shouldn’t have been in the driver’s seat at all as a suspended driver. It’s better to arrive late to your destination, than not at all.”
