Amazon Warehouse Would Hold 1,000 Employees, Be 4 Stories Tall
New details emerge on an Amazon.com warehouse planned for Oak Creek. It would be four stories tall, and larger than the one in Kenosha.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Rumors of a massive Amazon Inc. distribution center continue to solidify as plans for a new e-commerce center come up for an Oak Creek design review on Tuesday.
According to a Business Journal report, the Oak Creek facility would be four stories tall, would have 1,000 employees on-site at all times, and would be 75 acres in size. The facility would be located at the proposed Ryan Business Park.

The report goes on to state that Capstone Development of Waukesha and General Capital Group of Fox Point are developing the business park, and Hillwood Development Co is working on the building.

The City of Oak Creek is looking to spend up to $30 million on a new business park that hopes to capitalize on the $10 billion Foxconn electronics plant that is currently under construction in Racine County.
More details about the business park emerged, as online retail giant Amazon is rumored to want to build a a 2.5 million-sq. ft. warehouse and distribution facility that would bring more than 1,000 jobs to Oak Creek, as reported by the Milwaukee Biz Times on July 10. The name of the new business park would be the Ryan Business Park.

According to the report, Amazon would build on approximately 80 acres and construction would hopefully be done by 2020. The Milwaukee Business Journal says the site for the potential Oak Creek Amazon Fulfillment Center is larger than the one currently in operation in Kenosha.
