Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center to Unveil Milwaukee VA Soldiers Home National Historic Landmark District Plaque

The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center is hosting a celebration to unveil the Milwaukee VA Soldiers Home Historic District’s (Soldiers Home) National Historic Landmark plaque. The plaque will be unveiled at a ceremony on Friday, April 26, at 11:00 a.m. on the Soldiers Home grounds located at 5000 W. National Ave. The ceremony will take place outside of Old Main (Building Two) near the fountain.

National Historic Landmark status is the nation’s highest historical status. Fewer than 2,500 places across the entire U.S. bear this distinction. The Soldiers Home is one of only 41 National Historic Landmarks in Wisconsin.
