Armed Oak Creek Vehicle Burglars Caught In Glendale: Report

Police said the suspects were seen on surveillance video leaving west on College Ave. and then north on I-94.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say the suspects implicated in a Nov. 18 vehicle break-in spree were arrested in Glendale, but not before they were also implicated in several Franklin break-ins.

According to Oak Creek police reports, an employee of Hawthorn Suites called police just before midnight on Nov. 18 on a report of two suspects who were trying to break into a work truck. The employee said that the suspects were two young teenagers, had been using a crowbar to enter vehicles and one of the suspects had a handgun.

According to reports, they tried using the crowbar to enter, however were not successful at entering the work truck. They were seen on surveillance video leaving west on College and then north on I-94.

Police reports indicated that police in Glendale found a vehicle that matched the suspects' vehicle in the Oak Creek car break-in attempt. They were later arrested by Glendale police, according to reports.

Reports also said that when authorities in Franklin learned of the incident, they determined the suspects who were arrested in Glendale were the same ones involved in several break-ins in their city.
