Bender Park Gun Waver Arrested: Report

Police reported finding the man in question. A silver and tan Daisy 4.5 mm BB gun in his waistband, concealed under his shirt.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police responded to Bender Park just before 8 p.m. on Aug. 27 on a report of disorderly conduct.

According to police reports, a 911 caller phoned police, saying that the driver of a black Jeep pulled into the park's lower lot, got out of the vehicle and waved a gun around as he yelled at the people he was with.

Reports indicted that the and the people he was with walked through the park all the way to the flagpole at the end of the pier. Police responded shortly after the call, and found the man in question.

According to police reports, he was placed in handcuffs, and officers found a silver and tan Daisy 4.5 mm BB gun in his waistband, concealed under his shirt. He was transported to the Oak Creek police department where he was cited for disorderly conduct and a conceal carry violation.
