Body Found in Lake Michigan Considered Apparent Suicide Case

OAK CREEK, WI — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office is conducting a death investigation after a body was discovered Tuesday night near Lake Michigan.

Police in Oak Creek told Patch that the body of a man was discovered near a Milwaukee municipal pier on the shore of Lake Michigan, stating that the situation appeared to be a case of suicide. Authorities initially reported that the body was found near 5th St. and Addison St. late Tuesday night.

Oak Creek Fire officials said with the rocks and waves on Lake Michigan, recovery of the body made for a difficult operation.
