Boyfriend Chokes Girlfriend Pregnant With His Child: Police
A 21-year-old Oak Creek man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he choked the mother of his child.

OAK CREEK, WI — A 21-year-old Oak Creek man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he choked the mother of his unborn child while she was in bed. Michael D. Trivic, who lives on the 8400 block of S. Griffin Avenue, faces felony counts of strangulation and suffocation, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
According to police, Trivic's girlfriend was eight weeks pregnant. During the early morning hours of Sep. 17, they had argued, with Trivic consuming three beers during the course of the dispute, police said. The woman said Trivic pushed her several times during that argument before she went to sleep, according to the report.
The criminal complaint stated that the woman abruptly woke up a short time later as Trivic grabbed her hard by the shoulder and thigh and was climbing on top of her. He grabbed her by the neck with both hands and choked her until she felt like she was blacking out, according to the complaint.

Trivic was arrested a short time later.
According to online court records, Trivic has been previously charged with two counts of knowingly violating a domestic abuse injunction and violating a harassment restraining order. He was released on bail with a condition he commit no new crimes.
