Burglars Take $400 In Goods From Woman's Car: Report

OAK CREEK, WI — An Oak Creek woman is out nearly $400 in goods after police say an unknown suspect broke into her car on the morning of May 6.

Oak Creek police responded to a home on the 1000 block of E. Park Blvd. just after 8:30 a.m. on May 6 on a report of a vehicle break-in.

According to police reports, a woman called police saying an unknown suspect broke into her vehicle sometime overnight. Reports indicated that the woman's vehicle was parked in the home's driveway and was unlocked.

Reports say a bag was stolen from the front passenger seat of the car, which was said to contain two pairs of shoes valued at $50 each, and a black jacket valued at $100. The bag itself was valued at $200 according to reports. Police said a second vehicle parked in the driveway was also entered, however nothing was reported stolen.

Police also say there was a second car break-in about a half-mile way in the 200 block of E. Arbor Circle. According to reports, the owner of a vehicle that was parked in front of a garage had his Toyota Prius rummaged through. Reports stated that a number of items had been taken from that vehicle.
