Burglary Attempt Reported On E. American Ave.: Police
Police reports indicate that an Oak Creek resident was at home when she heard someone trying to get into her house.
OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the 3700 block of E. American Ave. just before noon on Jan. 3 on a report of an attempted burglary.
According to Oak Creek police reports, a home resident reported that an unknown person attempted to break into her house through the porch. The person, who was only briefly seen by the witness, said the suspect appeared to be wearing a black coat and was last seen running west.
Police said that the resident heard someone trying to open up the front door of her residence.

Reports indicated that police responded to the area and found a suspicious person in the area, however were not able to locate the suspect.
