Bus Stop Prowler Incident Defused By Police: Report

A girl waiting for the school bus told police that a picture-taker appeared as a "creepy old man," according to reports.

OAK CREEK, WI -- A situation involving a suspicious man and an Oak Creek student was resolved after police investigated and learned the situation wasn't as it initially seemed.

According to police reports, officers received a report that at just after 8 a.m. on Sep. 14, the driver of a red vehicle pulled up to the bus stop where a girl was waiting, took several photos with his cell phone, and then drove away.

The witness told police that the picture-taker appeared as a "creepy old man," according to reports.

When police investigated, they found the driver of that vehicle later in the day and questioned him over what happened.

According to reports, the man said he works for Five Brothers, which contracts with mortgage companies to verify occupancy of properties. He told police that he was taking photos of a property located behind the bus stop and made sure not to include the kids waiting at the bus stop in the photos.
