Camp Bow Wow Hopes To Open In Oak Creek

OAK CREEK, WI — A new dog boarding kennel and day care facility is barking up a new tree in Oak Creek and is seeking city approval.

According to Aug. 6 Oak Creek Common Council documents, Camp Bow Wow wants to open a new facility at 8411 S. Liberty Lane. The Plan Commission approved a maximum of 125 dogs onsite with a maximum of 80 dogs to be boarded at the facility after owner Brett Ippolite asked for increases in the number of dogs based on the site's previous tenant - Puppy Playground.

According to documents, Camp Bow Wow would open a facility similar to that of the former Puppy Playground, with the addition of a roughly 50-foot by 101-foot addition with five new outdoor kennels of various sizes on the west side of the building.

Camp Bow Wow announced earlier this year that they wanted to expand their nearly 150 locations across the U.S. by 20, by adding new camps including Oak Creek.
