Why are you seeking elective office?

I would like to become more active in the Oak Creek Community and the direction of growth.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The major issue facing Oak Creek District 4 and the City is Lakeshore Commons and Lake Vista Park. Ensuring that our Police, Fire and EMS Services grow with the development of this lakeside resource and how we can retain new members of our community.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I think the biggest difference between the candidates is that I am not a life long Oak Creek resident. Our family moved here in 2006 and now are happy to call Oak Creek home. I am very active in our community which keeps me connected to community members of all ages.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

As a challenger to the District 4 Alderperson position, I do not think that there has been a failure from the current officeholder but I do believe that it is time for a fresh voice and perspective. I am hoping that my fellow District 4 neighbors will look at my engagement in the community and see someone who will make a difference.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

An additional focus of my campaign is working with local industry to be assured that our Oak Creek High School Students have jobs in this technical economy.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

As an Alderperson I would bring my experiences from the last 16 years in Oak Creek to the table. I sit on the Board of Directors of the Oak Creek Community Center, Advisor and founding member to the Oak Creek High School STEM Club and Round Table Robotics Team, delivered regional Girl Scout Cookies for over 90 Troops for 12 years, worked at the local and Council Level of Scouts BSA including the creation of the first female troop in Milwaukee and have been a member of St Matthews Parish for the past 16 years.

For the City of Oak Creek I have was appointed to the Celebrations Commission from August 2018 to March of 2021, served as a voting poll worker since 2018 and was the Appointed Chairperson of the 2021 Oak Creek 4th of July Parade.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

"Life is like a piano, What you get out of it depends on how you play it" Virginia Potter (my maternal Grandmother)

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I would like the opportunity to serve the City of Oak Creek and welcome any questions the neighbors of Oak Creek District 4 may have.
