Car Break-In At Comfort Suites: Report

The owner of a vehicle was staying at the hotel overnight when a suspect broke a window on his car and stole a tablet and a log book.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the Comfort Suites, 6362 S. 13th St. just before 7 a.m. on March 26 on a report of a vehicle break-in.

According to police reports, the owner of a vehicle was staying at the hotel overnight when a suspect broke a window on his car and stole a tablet and a log book.

Reports stated that the break-in happened sometime between 8:23 p.m. on March 24 and 6:43 a.m. on the 26th. The vehicle owner told police that the passenger front window had been shattered and that the work tablet was valued at $500.

Police obtained the serial number for the tablet to aid in their investigation, though were unsuccessful in obtaining surveillance footage as the hotel's surveillance cameras appeared to be not working, according to reports.
