Car Broken Into On Diane Drive

Oak Creek police responded to the 2900 block of E. Diane Drive on a report of a vehicle break-in.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the 2900 block of E. Diane Drive on a report of a vehicle break-in.

According to police reports, sometime between 10 p.m. on July 19 and 8 a.m. on the 20th, an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and took several items from inside, including: $20 in cash, change, Vera Wang sunglasses valued at $100, a Swiss Army brand backpack valued at $120, and a laptop owned by Johnson Controls valued at $2,000.

Upon investigation, the vehicle did not appear to have any signs of forced entry, and an officer on-scene concluded that the vehicle may have been left unlocked at the time of the break-in.

The homeowner stated that although he does not know who committed the crime, a neighbor likely had surveillance footage that police were going to review.
