Car Burglary Wave Hits Oak Creek: 19 Cars Entered, Police Say

According to police reports, the break-ins mainly took place in a neighborhood behind the Oak Hills Golf Course.

OAK CREEK, WI — The City of Oak Creek was awash in a wave of vehicle break-ins last week, according to official reports.

According to a Journal Sentinel report, a total of 19 cars were either broken into or rummaged through because of unlocked car doors overnight on May 18. Police fielded at least 16 calls on that morning after residents started their mornings only to learn that someone suspicious had entered their vehicles without their concent.

According to police reports, the break-ins mainly took place in a neighborhood behind the Oak Hills Golf Course.

The Journal Sentinel tallied a number of the items that were taken, including: a total of $1,325 in cash, and multiple small electronics.

Police at present do not have any suspects in connection with these cases.
