Car Dealership Proposed for Corner With Adult Bookstore
A new auto dealership is being proposed for the long-dormant corner of 27th and Rawson in Oak Creek. Plans are pretty far along.

OAK CREEK, WI — A new auto dealership is being proposed for the long-dormant corner of 27th and Rawson in Oak Creek. It has for the last several years been the site of an adult bookstore.
According to plans set before the Oak Creek Plan Commission for its July 25 meeting, the owners of All Star Buick/GMC have submitted a proposal for a new dealership to occupy the lots at 7008 and 7018 St. 27th St. and 2500 W. Rawson Ave. The total lot size it approximately 12.7 acres.
All final plans, whether they are site, building, landscaping and lighting have been submitted for review by public officials.

According to documents submitted for the Plan Commission's review on July 25, the commission will not see the complete and revised plans and has been asked to hold their decision until complete plans are submitted.

- Driveway width on 27th St. has been reduced to 35 feet. This must still receive WisDOT
- approval.
- Access on Rawson Ave. This must still receive Milwaukee County approval.
- Overall parking has been reconfigured.
- Parking/vehicle display area along Rawson Ave. reconfigured.
- Pedestrian crossing/connections noted on plans.
- Employee parking identified (52 stalls) separate from customer and merchandise parking (325
- overall).
- Stormwater pond slightly reconfigured.
- Wetlands must be shown on the site plans
- The developer is proposing that an existing hydrant be removed on 27th St. to accommodate a new entrance.
