Car Known From 'Fast And Furious 9' Visiting Oak Creek Car Show
A 1968 Dodge Charger known in part for its relation to "Fast and Furious 9" will make an appearance at a car show in Oak Creek on Saturday.
OAK CREEK, WI — After the standard Oak Creek Farmers Market on Saturday morning, Drexel Town Square will become inundated with dozens of hot rods and classic cars. Two cars scheduled to appear have gotten international praise, including one that was featured in the latest installment of the "Fast and Furious" franchise.
The car show is a sentimental note from organizer Paul Haggas. He told Patch he planned it in memoriam of his late father, Paul Haggas Sr.
Haggas Sr. had always been a car guy, but the needs of a growing family got in the way of truly following the passion. After his death, his sons have each been vicariously living out their father's dreams with cars of their own, Haggas Jr. said.

The memory of Haggas Sr. will continue at the car show. About 30-40 cars are expected to appear, according to Haggas.
Alongside the classic cars and hot rods will, of course, be the internationally famed, carbon fiber clad, alarmingly high-horsepower "Hellacious" and "Demon."

The two cars were made in Wisconsin by SpeedKore, which is based in Grafton. The company customizes cars almost down to the bolts with carbon fiber panels. The panels are lighter than the typical car's metal, which equates to more speed, according to the SpeedKore website.
"Hellacious" will be the star of the show, Keaton Miller, facility coordinator for SpeedKore, told Patch. The 1968 Dodge Charger is featured in "Fast and Furious 9" and has been the subject of many international car publications such as TopGear and Motor Trend.
The car is a bit of a Frankenstein of other cars. It's a mid-engine and features a Hellcat V8 6.2 liter engine, plus a six-speed Lamborghini gearbox. The setup can produce about 707 horsepower, according to a Top Gear report.
Compare that to a fresh-off-the-line Toyota Camry with its base level 139-169 horsepower.
SpeedKore's "Demon" will also make an appearance this Saturday at the car show in Drexel Town Square. "Demon" is a more contemporary car, a 2018 Dodge Challenger.
Not all is original to "Demon," though. SpeedKore refitted every panel on the car with carbon fiber. The horsepower is even beyond the stunning amount from "Hellacious" — "Demon" is said to produce over 1,500 horsepower at its rear wheels, according to SpeedKore's website.
People can these two cars, plus many more hot rods and classic cars, at the Paul W. Haggas Auto Showcase on Saturday in Drexel Town Square, at 361 Town Square Way in Oak Creek.
The show will run from 3-8 p.m., right after the Oak Creek Farmers Market.
