Car Stolen At Oak Creek Kwik Trip Gas Pump: Report

When a passenger in a car left to go to the bathroom, a person nearby jumped into the running car and took off, police say.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say that a man's vehicle was stolen while its owner was at the gas pump at Kwik Trip on the night of July 16.

According to Oak Creek police reports, the owner of a 2013 black Honda Civic pulled into the Kwik Trip on 10th Street just before 11 p.m. to refuel.

Police said that the driver and passenger got out of the car to go into the Kwik Trip store. The driver left the vehicle because a second passenger was still in the back seat. According to reports, the passenger then left the vehicle to go into the bathroom and left the running vehicle at the gas pump.

Police reports stated that the backseat passenger from a gray Mazda 6 that was parked at a neighboring pump got out of the vehicle, got into the Honda Civic and drove off.

Police described the suspect as a black male in his 20s with long dreadlocks to the middle of his back. He was wearing a black T-Shirt with red lettering, a baseball cap on backward and red Nike basketball shoes.

Police say the vehicle was valued at $10,000. The vehicle was entered as stolen and was taken with keys and both plates were on the vehicle, police said.
