Car Stolen From Oak Creek Woman's Driveway

OAK CREEK, WI — Imagine visiting a friend in Oak Creek only to find out that the next morning, your car was stolen and a different car was parked outside in its place.

That's what happened on the 7700 block of S. 13th St. on Aug. 22, after the onwer of a green Honda Civic EX came outside only to find out that her car was missing, and another stolen car was parked in the driveway in its place.

According to police reports, the vehicle that was in the driveway was reported stolen in Milwaukee on Aug. 21 - the prior day. The stolen vehicle had dash damage, no keys and still had its license plates on the car.

The vehicle was eventually recovered by its owner as Oak Creek police had a new auto theft case to deal with.
