Catalytic Converter Thief Leaves Behind Clue: Report
Police reported that they collected the car jack as evidence in their investigation.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Authorities in Oak Creek say they're investigating a case in which a catalytic converter was cut out from underneath a car overnight.
Police responded to the 400 block of W. Lagoon Lane just after 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 on a report of a vehicle theft. According to police reports, the owner of a vehicle saw that her vehicle was up on a jack and that the catalytic converter had been cut out from the vehicle's exhaust system.
According to reports, the catalytic converter was valued at $600. Police searched the area and no additional suspects were identified. Police reported that they collected the car jack as evidence in their investigation.
