Citizens Help Rescue Man In Piggly Wiggly Parking Lot: Report

A woman yelled for help, and people in the parking lot came to her husband's aid in order to start lifesaving efforts

OAK CREEK, WI — Several concerned citizens came to the rescue of a man suffering an apparent heart attack in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot.

According to Oak Creek police reports, just after 11 a.m. on June 13, a woman was inside the Piggly Wiggly on E. Rawson Ave. and was getting ready to leave the store for her husband waiting in their car in the parking lot.

Reports stated that as the woman walked up to her car, she found that he was not responsive. She yelled for help, and people assisted in moving him from the vehicle onto the flat ground to start lifesaving efforts.

According to reports, police took over CPR efforts as they arrived. Oak Creek fire department first responders arrived shortly after and took over life-saving measures, according to reports.

The man was reportedly transported to Wheaton Franklin hospital with a slight pulse.
