City Of Oak Creek: Cultural Diversity Event Returns To The Oak Creek Farmers Market

Culture. Art. Food. Entertainment. These elements and more will be showcased at the Oak Creek Farmers Market on Saturday, October 2. C.A.F.E. is a day to celebrate our city’s cultural diversity through educational interaction and thoughtful conversation. From 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., organizations will be on-site sharing their history and culture to create a global experience.

In addition to weekly market vendors, each group will have a presence in Drexel Town Square. Visitors can experience global cuisine and enjoy music and dance performances throughout the day. The event will highlight organizations representing the Middle East, Cuba, Albania, and ethnic and religious groups such as Hmong and Sikh, among many others.

This event was first held in 2019 but paused in 2020 because of the pandemic.

“We are so eager to bring the C.A.F.E. event back to Drexel Town Square,” said Dan Bukiewicz, Mayor of Oak Creek, “The inaugural event in 2019 far exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to expanding this event every year. I encourage everyone to stop by for this vibrant cultural experience celebrating our community’s diversity.”
