The Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility delivered a report to the Common Council on Feb. 5.

OAK CREEK, WI -- City officials in Oak Creek are considering a special assessment for properties along W. College Ave. to install a new water line that will serve the area, including the city's 27th-Street business corridor.
The Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility delivered a report to the Common Council on Feb. 5 on the project, stating the utility would install about a one-third-mile section of 12-inch water main on W. College Ave. just east of S. 27th Street. Water utility officials said adding the line would improve water quality and provide a second feed for Oak Creek's business district along 27th Street.
Water Utility officials said the utility would initially fund the entire cost of the project, and then would be reimbursed as special assessments are received. The estimated cost of the project is $485,000.
