Concerned Motorists Tried Blocking Drunk Driver: Report
According to police, officers caught up with the driver, who was riding on the rim of a flat tire in Oak Creek.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say that concerned motorists tried blocking the path of a reckless driver in Oak Creek last week, only to have the reckless driver elude them before getting arrested for drunk driving.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, a 911 caller informed authorities that they saw a reckless driver in a silver Honda CRV hit the median and a pole just east of Howell Ave. on Ryan Road at just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 29.
Police said a second 911 caller alerted authorities that he saw the same reckless driver, and tried impeding their progress by parking in front of them. The driver of the CRV reportedly swerved around the 911 caller's car and continued on its way west on Ryan with a flat tire.

A third 911 caller reported seeing the same CRV, and told authorities that the vehicle drove around others that were blocking its path, and that the blocking vehicles were acting to protect motorists from a potentially hazardous situation, police logs stated.
According to police, officers caught up with the driver, who was riding on the rim of their flat tire. Police said they tried stopping the vehicle on the 1700 block of Highway 100, only to have the driver keep going. Police pursued the driver until the vehicle finally stopped at S. 27th Street and Oakwood Road, according to police call logs.

Police said the driver failed field sobriety tests. She was arrested.
