Construction Worker Hit By Semi Trailer In Oak Creek: Report
A construction worker in Oak Creek is recovering after police say the worker was struck by a semi-trailer and thrown into a ditch.

OAK CREEK, WI — A construction worker is recovering after police say the worker was struck by a semi-trailer and thrown into a ditch.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, police and fire were called to a construction site on the 2600 block of W. Orchard Hills Drive at just after noon on Nov. 22 for a construction accident.
Police said a worker was driving a semi-truck, and trying to make a left turn as he was navigating the construction area when the rear end of his semi trailer swung out and struck another worker.

According to police call logs, the worker was rushed to the Ascension Southeast hospital in Franklin for emergency treatment. Police spoke with the accident victim while at the hospital.
According to police, the man was working on a piece of equipment when he heard a semi truck coming. Before he could look up, he was struck by the trailer frame in the right side, throwing him five to ten feet into a ditch where he hit his head on a rock.

Police said the man was wearing his helmet and a reflective vest at the time of the accident. He suffered an injury to his right leg and knee area according to call logs.
