Driver Led Oak Creek Police On 3-Mile Pursuit: Report

Police said the driver cooperated with police on the second try, and was arrested without further incident.

OAK CREEK, WI — Authorities in Oak Creek say they arrested a man who led officers on a vehicle chase through Oak Creek on the night of Aug. 18.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an officer on patrol attempted to pull over a vehicle on the 300 block of Highway 100 for an unspecified traffic violation. Police said the driver did not stop, and led officers on a three-mile pursuit, ending in the driveway of a home.

According to police, a police K9 officer was dispatched to assist officers in approaching the driver of the vehicle after he finally stopped. Police said the driver cooperated with police this time, and was arrested without further incident.

Police said the man had multiple warrants out for his arrest, including one in Oak Creek for criminal damage/theft to property, and one in Racine County for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia.
