Man Found Dead After Car Crashed Into Retention Pond: Police

A 36-year-old man was found dead at the scene of a car that crashed into a retention pond on 9300 13th Street in Oak Creek, police said.

OAK CREEK, WI — A 36-year-old man was found dead Tuesday morning after a car crashed into a retention pond on 9300 13th Street in Oak Creek, police said in a news release.

Speed appears to be a factor and the crash looked to be a single-vehicle accident with only one person in the car, police said. Detectives found the car around 10:30 a.m. after they saw broken car parts on the east side of the road and decided to investigate down an embankment, police said in the news release.

Upon finding the crash, police called in the Oak Creek Fire Department which responded with assistance from the Milwaukee Fire Department Dive Rescue Team and Franklin Fire Department.

Police said the investigation is continuing with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol, Franklin Police Department and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.

OAK CREEK, WI — First responders were at the scene of a car that somehow ended up in a retention pond near 13th Street and Ryan Road in Oak Creek Tuesday morning, FOX6 News reported.

The car was pulled out of the retention pond Tuesday afternoon and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office was called to the scene, CBS58 reported.

Online Oak Creek Fire Department records showed a water rescue report Tuesday morning in the area. More information has not been released.
