Erv's Mug Targeted By Fraudsters: Report
A store manager called Oak Creek police, saying that every Friday, the business receives a fraudulent telephone call.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek are investigating a fraud complaint at Erv's Mug after staff reported a scam artist keeps calling the business.
According to police, Oak Creek police received a fraud report from Erv's Mug, 130 W. Ryan Rd. just after noon on Feb. 2.
According to police reports, a store manager called Oak Creek police, saying that every Friday, the business receives a fraudulent telephone call, stating that one of their utilities will be shut off unless a card from a gas station is obtained and prepared for them.

On Feb 2., the employee said the got a telephone number to call the apparent fraudster back and notified police.
According to reports, Erv's Mug received the call at 11:40 a.m. from a suspicious person stating they would shut off the gas to the business if they did not pay $500. The employee told police that Erv's Mug was asked to get a Green Dot card and call back when they had it.
