Cleopatra will visit the shores of Lake Michigan (well, close, anyway) beginning October 14, as it makes its 3rd stop on a world tour at the Public Museum.
The world of Cleopratra VII was lost to sea and sand for nearly 2,000 years. But now you can get a glimpse into this historic time. The exhibit, entitled, Cleopatra: The Search for the Last Queen of Egypt features nearly 150 artifacts from this elusive queen’s time.
The exhibition is organized by National Geographic and Arts and Exhibitions International, with cooperation from the Egyptian Ministry of State for Antiquities and the European Institute for Underwater Archaeology (IEASM).
