Explore Oak Creek's rural heritage at The Pioneer Farm Machinery Club’s annual “Pioneer Farm Days” October 8-9 at American Legion Park Grounds, 9327 S. Shepard Ave.
Every year, this fascinating event brings history to life. Your whole family can experience agricultural machines from days gone by, and watch as they perform old time jobs.
Working vintage steam, gas and diesel tractors and engines will be on display. You can see a real sawmill turn logs into lumber and a threshing machine separating the grain from it’s straw. There will also be demonstrations of feed grinding, cedar shingle making, blacksmithing and more. The parade of tractors is not to be missed.
What's In It For The Kids?
But that's not all. For kids, there's the Farm Toy Show to explore, and a ride around the grounds in the barrel train. They can also go on the straw pile drive and the tractor Pedal Pull.
