Ex-Bus Driver Attempts To Pick Up Oak Creek Kids: Report
On the morning of May 24, police reported that an ex-bus driver pulled up at the bus stop for Cedar Hills Elementary School - in her car.

OAK CREEK, WI — Parents in Oak Creek were subjected to an unusual scare on May 24 after a former Riteway Bus driver showed up at a bus stop for Cedar Hills Elementary School and offered children a ride to school in her personal vehicle.
According to Oak Creek police reports, the department received information from a Riteway bus manager that an ex-bus driver had asked children and parents if she could drive them to school in her own personal vehicle.
In specific, the report mentions that the woman asked two students at their bus stop if they wanted to ride in her personal vehicle to school instead of taking the bus.

According to police reports, parents reported this incident on the day it happened, in addition to mentioning that a similar event happened a month prior, without parents reporting it to police.
Reports stated that on the morning of May 24, the ex-bus driver pulled up at the bus stop bound for Cedar Hills Elementary School and asked two children if they wanted a ride to school in her personal vehicle. The students ran from the bizarre scene that was unfolding, and one of the parents came out of the house to talk with her. Eventually, she left.

According to police reports, the parent told her to no longer show up on the bus routes and ask children for rides, however, she refused to leave. The parent requested extra police checks at her residence.
Reports stated that all bus riders and their parents call police immediately if incidents like this continue. Police reportedly requested the bus route number from Riteway to see whether she drove other bus routes in the city. Cedar Hills was also updated by a police officer.
