Fishing Pier at We Energies Power Plant Now Open

We Energies officially opened a public fishing pier at its Oak Creek power plant on Thursday. 

The pier extends into Lake Michigan and is accessible to the public on the north side of the discharge channel. It is open during daylight hours, March 15 to Nov. 15, weather permitting.

Although the pier is considered We Energies property, the public may access the adjacent public beach to the north.

Plans for the pier . The power plant, on Elm Road next to Lake Michigan, became fully functional earlier this year.
