MILWAUKEE- Matt Walker, the son of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, announced this morning that he would seek the Chairmanship of the Wisconsin Federation of College Republicans.
Matthew, who is currently a student at Marquette University, holds the Co-Chairmanship position of the Marquette University College Republicans. Some of his noted accomplishments include bringing 1996 US Presidential candidate Steve Forbes to speak on campus along with hosting events on gun safety.

In a statement issued by the Marquette College Republicans, they stated: “His leadership and dedication are what the WICRs and Wisconsin need to keep Wisconsin moving forward with strong Republican leadership. Matthew wants to push the WICRs to new a level of fighting for conservative values on campuses across the state by actively recruiting new members to organize, educate, and motivate young people on Republican political views.”
Wisconsin Election Watch contacted Patrick Garrett, spokesman of the Marquette College Republicans. He did not respond to our requests for comment at the time of publication.
