Heart the City 5k/10k Coming to Oak Creek

Heart the City 5k/10k is a charity run to raise awareness and fundraise in the fight against homelessness in Southeast Wisconsin.

Heart the City is a 5k run/walk and a 10k run to increase awareness against homelessness. The run is organized by two non-profits, The Balm Shelter, Inc and Revitalize WI, Inc. Both non-profits work with the homeless to provide health products as well as food, clothing and assistance to help them into a transitional facility.

Both courses will start at Abendschein Park in Oak Creek and wind through Oak Leaf Trail, local streets and then back to Abendschein Park. Although the run courses are currently not certified, we are in the process of getting them certified and the race sanctioned to become a qualifying for bigger races. There will be a post-race party that will include food and live entertainment.

All 5k participants will receive a cotton t-shirt with a commemorative race design and all 10k will receive a tech shirt with a commemorative race design. All finishers will receive a custom, finishers medal.
