Here Are The Oak Creek School Upgrades Planned For Summer 2019
Officials in Oak Creek are considering about $1.2 million in capital projects.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Officials in Oak Creek are considering about $1.2 million in capital projects for schools in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District.
According to official documents, work would take place during the summer of 2019.
Here is a list of the projects as they were proposed on April 15. The project list is up for approval during a May 13 Board of Education meeting.

All costs are estimates, according to district officials.
- Carollton Elementary School: Replacement of two sets of exterior doors $17,172.14
- Deerfield Elementary School: Upgrade interior/exterior lighting to LED $160,000
- East Middle School: JV softball diamond retaining wall installation/bleacher and dugout ground upgrade/surface water runoff $120,000
- East Middle School: Service drive on east side expansion for buses $177,000
- East Middle School: Removal of band instrument storeroom to expand Band Room size $110,853
- Edgewood Elementary School: Upgrade interior/exterior lighting to LED $115,000
- Meadowview Elementary School: Upgrade interior/exterior lighting to LED $115,000
- Oak Creek High School: Courtyard emergency egress - reverse door swing and add exit signage to comply with code $45,000
- West Middle School: Classroom floors conversion to LVT $275,000
- West Middle School: Cleaning Interior Brick $10,732
- District-wide: Traffic control project w/ the City $50,000
