Highway 100 Project Could Languish Well Into 2019
Traffic jams, delays and close quarters are a hallmark of the Hales Corners Highway 100 project. It may be here for a while longer.

HALES CORNERS, WI -- The Highway 100 road construction project in Hales Corners has been vexed by cold weather, and if it continues, the current traffic pattern could be here to stay for awhile longer, state traffic officials said.
The $23 million that will repave a two-mile stretch of Highway 100 was a month behind by Thanksgiving. They want to be done by Oct. 2019.
According to a JSOnline report, Paul Watry, senior project engineer for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation laid out the options for how construction will go based on the weather.

If the weather's good, the project could wrap up for the year by Dec. 10. For that to happen, the weather would have to be warm and dry enough for workers to pave the east side of the road.
If the weather's bad, progress will grind to a halt, and resume in March 2019.
