Hit-And-Run Driver Knocks Out Fire Hydrant, Floods Road
Oak Creek police responded and determined that the water appeared to be coming from a a fire hydrant that was knocked over.

OAK CREEK, WI — A concerned citizen called Oak Creek police at just after 2 a.m. on Sep. 18 on a report that there was water covering the road near the intersection of S. 20th St. and W. Drexel Ave.
Oak Creek police responded and determined that the water appeared to be coming from a a fire hydrant that was knocked over. There was debris present from an apparent vehicle collision, but no vehicle on scene.
The person who called police called back a short time later, after they located an abandoned vehicle just west of 20th and Drexel that had severe damage, airbag deployment and was leaking fuel. The officers on-scene confirmed this was the case, and did not locate the vehicle's driver.
