'Hotboxing' Siblings Picked Wrong Spot For Smoke-Up: Police
Police said they pulled the driver over, and smelled "a profound smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle."

OAK CREEK, WI — "Hotboxing" is a term used to describe smoking marijuana in an enclosed space so the smoke completely fills the air. Police in Oak Creek say two siblings' hotboxing nearly got one of them in trouble while one was on the road.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, an officer on patrol in the 9000 block of S. Howell Ave. pulled a vehicle over at just after 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 15 after the officer saw the driver swerve abruptly, nearly striking a nearby vehicle on the road.
Police said they pulled the driver over, and smelled "a profound smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle."

A drug-sniffing dog was called to the scene, however officers could not find any marijuana each time the dog sensed illegal drugs. When the officer talked with the driver about the matter, the driver reportedly told the officer that she and her sibling were hotboxing weed in the vehicle the night before.
Police issued the driver a warning for failing to stay in her lane of traffic.
