Hotel Worker Bitten By Pit Bull In Room: Report

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a Motel 6 employee was bitten by a pit bull terrier while on the job last week.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, a woman working at Motel 6 was delivering extra sheets by request to one of the guests. When the door to the room opened, police say the worker was bit in the right breast and leg area by a female pit bull during the afternoon of Sept. 4.
Police said the woman went to St. Luke's hospital in Milwaukee for treatment. When police investigated, they tracked the dog's owner to a family in Milwaukee.

According to police, the dog's owner said the dog was given to her by a family six months ago, never took it to the vet, and then gave the dog to "some guy on the street" because she couldn't keep it in her house.
Police said they searched the house, and could not find the dog. Police said the dog's owner was cited under a local vicious dog ordinance.
